In a joint media release today by The Hon Jason Clare MP – Minister for Education, and Senator the Hon Anthony Chisholm, Assistant Minister for education and Assistant Minister for Regional Development, 10 new Regional University have been announced across the country.

Congratulations to all new COHORT 5 Regional University Study Hubs around Australia, we wish you every success.

We submitted a funding application for COHORT 5 last December to create a SPOKE on King Island and happy to announce that we are the only successful applicants from within Tasmania.

The Study King Island SPOKE joins Study Hub West Coast in Zeehan and Study Centre Circular Head in Smithton to provide academic support, student services and training to our remote communities.

Study King Island will bring university and VET closer to students living on the island. This SPOKE will remove barriers for more students so that they can access VET and higher education and remain connected to home and community by keeping learning local.

Well done team, what a grand achievement! Joint Media Release Funding succession
