Technology can assist with everyday reading and writing tasks such as:
Spelling – Speak directly into your phone and have the words written for you. Understand and reply to texts with ease.
Understanding what signs, label or instructions say – Workplace signs, labels and instructions can be read out using a simple app.
Remembering what the Doctor or Chemist say – Quickly record instructions from the doctor or chemist and then listen back to it later to check details.
Writing a text – Small keys, large fingers, spelling, can all make it difficult. Voice-type your messages instead.
Reading school notices and newsletters – Let your phone read it out to you.
Completing tasks in a hurry – Quickly dictate a text into your phone rather than trying to type it.
We dream that you will learn how to use these tools and teach others how to also!
