Sadly we have said farewell to Vikki Iwanicki, our on the ground UTAS Community Learning Officer.
Vikki and Nicky started Study Hub West Coast together in 2o19 with Commonwealth funding and over the past three years have worked tirelessly to build aspiration in our remote regions. Vikki was instrumental in helping to create our West Coast site and the creation of our secondary site in Circular Head. She will be sadly missed.
Having recently married, Vikki is basing herself closer to home on the West Coast and wishes all current students the very best on their education path.
We are now on the hunt for another “Vikki” and her position will soon be advertised by UTAS.
Community Learning Officer – this position is vital in supporting UTAS students both in Smithton and the West Coast. He/She will act as a connector between the University and students, helping to demystify university study and provide on the ground support with university processes. In Zeehan, the position will incorporate Children’s University, it has not been decided if this will be the case in Circular Head or not.
If you have, or know someone is a changemaker, has a degree and may be interested in the job and becoming part of the education solution please contact Nicky – firstname.lastname@example.org
